In 1988 Dresser sells the company to US-based ABRASIVE INDUSTRIES. The company is an amalgamation of several companies involved in the abrasives industry with offices in Europe and the USA. In addition to the production of grinding wheels, the group also includes a company that produces aluminium  oxide as an abrasive grain.
